Who wants
to be a star
I hope I don't get that far
I just wanna make you
smile for a while
cry for a while
feel for a while
If you want to go to bed
with fame then go ahead
I won't follow you there
or anywhere
It's half-time
you gotta leave sometime
to ask yourself
if you're wrong
oh, am I wrong?
I hope when we live apart
you still call me when you finish your naps
is it near?
is it far?
I will jump right in my car
I don't mind
I don't mind
even if its a 50 minute drive
I don't mind
I don't mind
On the outside it's a flop
on the inside your heart drops
From the road I saw the mountain
and it was calling my name
From the top I saw the road again
and it was calling me back
To you standing on the grey of the beach
wearing yellow and you offer me a peach
I will be with you to see what you see
just to break apart a piece of a dream
Intimate and unique. This album plays well with a bottle of Syrah crunched up in your finest pair of headphones with candles lit in a steamy bubble bath. sig
The fave song title has to be a pun on the Canadian national anthem and yes I'm late to this party :) Liked the light touch to the extra strings and horns. Just enough to add colour and swing. Jason Kemp
Killer tunes from teen indie rocker Ollie Cook, who has an ear for a smart riff and an eye for sharply imagistic observation. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 23, 2022
This album is a two car garage rolling through suburbia on skateboard wheels. Sonically it transports me back to my 00s baseball wallpaper, my red oval boombox, and watching mtv unplugged sessions. sig
